About Me

I’m Jared Markowitz, a recent Tulane University graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, and a minor in Economics. I have a huge passion for data analysis and sports analytics, and have founded Markowitz Data Solutions LLC to provide data science consulting, specializing in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization. My experience includes building predictive models and pipelines at Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment and Quarter4, charting football data at FTN Network, and presenting a novel pitch decay insight, as well as competing in the Diamond Dollar Case Competition at the SABR Analytics Conference.

I’m skilled in Python, SQL, TensorFlow, R, Tableau, and pretty much any other data science library/tool you can think of, and I’m committed to turning data into actionable insights for both clients and employers. When I’m not analyzing data, I’m exploring new sports analytics ideas or cheering for my beloved (but cursed) Philadelphia sports teams.
